No, I'm not keen either.
Added to the fact that we're dangerously close to not having enough homegrown players in the squad to meet the restrictions. It seriously compromises what we can do transfer wise going forward.

Both Song and Moses are 'home grown' aren't they.
Moses came to the UK at 11 as an asylum seeker when his parents had been killed.
He is as English as Mo Farah.
That's as good as you are getting.
Most English players are over priced and under skilled.

I agree. We need some English players. Look at Stones, didn't cost much and is now worth a fortune. Cresswell only cost 4.25 million and some fans value him at £30 million now. I think.
Plus, how do you think little Cresswell feels going into the showers with Kouyate, Song, Sakho, Ogbonna, Obiang and Moses?

We only lost Carlton and downing so have added Randolph and Moses
Homegrown quota has not changed

To qualify as home-grown, a player must have been registered with a club affiliated to the FA or the Welsh FA for a period of three seasons prior to his 21st birthday.
So song, Moses and Randolph all qualify as homegrown despite not being English

I'm not talking about transfer markets or quotas, I mean the identity of the club.
It just seems wrong.
We are the last team to win the FA cup with 11 Englishmen.
That is GOOD.

I think an English base helps a club with stability and hopefully we will add the likes of Oxford and Burke to Jenkinson, Tomkins, Cresswell, Noble over time.
Its more likely there will be a club with NO English players winning the FA Cup if Arsenal haven't done it already.
